Rasmus by Ellen

Faces of OBAYATY – Rasmus by Ellen Fedors Documenting Presence As part of Faces of OBAYATY, we present Rasmus, photographed by Ellen Fedors. A series developed over time. Shaped by familiarity, but never fully resolved. “I’ve been photographing Rasmus for eight years, and he’s still a bit of a mystery to me.” — Ellen Fedors The work is shaped by a shared approach to observation. A perspective informed by Fedors’ formative background working alongside photographers such as Juergen Teller, where an unpolished, immediate, and deeply human approach redefined contemporary photography. Shot in Los Angeles in natural light and stripped of excess, the series reflects what remains when nothing is added. Rasmus is not styled into a role. He is observed as he is. “It becomes interesting when you stop defining it.” — Pontus Frankenstein There is no transformation. No ideal. Only clarity. A study of masculinity as it exists. A reflection of beauty without instruction.
